David, who gets by doing odd jobs, meets Lena, who has just moved up to Paris, and falls in love. But soon after, his life is brutally interrupted by the sudden death of his sister. Beyond the shock, and the pain, David now finds himself alone with his young niece Amanda to care for.

About the director

Mikhaël Hers was born in 1975 in France and was educated in Film Production at La Fémis in Paris. He graduated in 2004, after which he started producing films as well as directing films himself. He directed and wrote the medium-length films Charell (2006), Primrose Hill (2007) and Montparnasse (2009), winner of the Jean Vigo Award, all of which premiered at Cannes Film Festival. Memory Lane is his first feature film. This Summer Feeling (2015) is his second feature. It won the Grand Jury Prize at Bordeaux IFF and screened at IFF Rotterdam.
