Ying Wan, Lily and Sun are lonely and frustrated. They meet in a concert and become good friends since then. They take care of each other, and addict into alcohol and tobacco in the night. A wave of ennui engulfs them in this city. One day, Sun’s ex-girlfriend Yoko intrudes into their lives. Their bond has started to change. Sun then decides to inflict revenge that is to be regretted.

About the director
Mike, Ao Ieong Weng Fong, also known as “Forgetful Man”, is a film director, photographer and social observer. Mike is also the strategic director of “So So Film” and a member of “Comuna de Han-Ian”. In December 2001, Mike held a solo photography exhibition called “Silly Goods”.

Two Mainland Chinese come to Macao to work illegally, one at a construction site and the other as a sex-worker. The changes on the policy towards illegal workers and the increment on penalties complicate their situation, merging altogether their lives, wealth and their ways out.

About the director
Penny, Lam Kin Kuan, was born in Macao in 1988, during the days of Portuguese administration. Penny has started making films in 2007, working mostly in documentaries. In 2012, the filmmaker finished an MA in Screen Documentary at London’s Goldsmiths University, with a scholarship granted by Macao’s Cultural Affairs Bureau. Illegalist is the filmmaker’s first fictional short film.

Three grannies came up with a crazy and dangerous idea. They are planning to do a real big monkey business which may either send them to jail, or let them without any more to worry for the rest of their miserable lives.

About the director
Peeko Wong is a local filmmaker and assistant director who also works as production manager and art director in different film projects. Her most recent works include films like Next Stop Is (2016), which focuses on the youngsters’ future goals in this fast-paced society, and Gin, Sake, Margarita (2017) a gaze at the situation of local female artists.
