This period drama is set in war-torn Europe. Lord von Ketten brings his beautiful Portuguese wife back home in Italy. After their honeymoon Lord-von Ketten leaves for the war and, against his will, his bride decides to return to her homeland, Portugal. Rumors about this foreign bride rise – some say she is a heretic. A gentle pace and lavish visuals add to the depth of this faithful adaptation of Robert Musil’s novel.
