A story about two intimate friends Sze-sze and Ling-ling who were doing massage job in Macau, their friendship, pursuit of love and affections before Macau’s sovereignty returned to China. Many years after the sovereignty handover, Sze-sze returned to Macau from Taiwan to deal with the aftermath of Ling-ling’s death. She rediscovered her relationship with Ling-ling and even herself by encountering Ling-ling’s teenage son again. Memories mixed with reality to create a new life of Sze-sze.

About the Director

Tracy Choi

Grew up in Macao during the 90s. During high school, she borrowed her father’s DV camera and discovered her passion and interest in filmmaking. Studying filmmaking in Taiwan for her bachelor education, C continually used film to explore her own identity. Later on, she moved to Hong Kong to further her filmmaking education. Audiences can always observe her delicate touch of women’s issues in her works.

The Cinematheque・Passion is located at Travessa da Paixão which is a narrow and romantic bystreet branching off the famous World Heritage Site "Ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral" (the "St. Paul's Cathedral Site") in the Historic Centre of Macau. A three-storey building equipped with ticket office, screening room, control room, film information room and exhibition space.
