About the Director Tràn Anh Hùng, director, screenwriter, producer. Born in Vietnam in 1962, moved to France due to the war when he was young. His first feature film A Taste of Green Papaya was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, and won the Cannes Golden Camera Award and the French César Award for Best First Feature. He then won the Venice Golden Lion Award for Cyclo. which is profound. And the poetic film language condenses into thousands of emotional touches, making Vietnamese films stunning in the global film industry. He has worked with director of photography Li Pingbin three times to create Early Summer of Love, Norwegian Wood and Ode to Life. His work The Pot-au-Feu, entered the main competition of Cannes for the first time and won the Best Director award. | ||
