Akitsugu Fukushima is a Japanese composer, musician and sound designer born in Kurume, Fukuoka City and currently lives in Macao.He was exposed to various types of music in his childhood through the influence of his family, and taught himself guitar and composition.
Since moving to Macao in 2013, he has collaborated with various local musicians, artists, and film directors, and continues to engage in a wide range of musical activities. His musical style encompasses post-classical musicians such as Ólafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm, and electronic-pop musicians such as Porter Robinson. His background in pop music has led him to focus on beautiful melodies in all of his compositions.
In recent years, he has participated in the soundtracks of Madalena and Years of Macau. His remix track "Ethereal Cosmos (feat. Iat U Hong) [Akitsugu Fukushima Remix]" for the Korean electronic musician "Dae Kim", was selected as the soundtrack for the festival trailer of "Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival" in 2020.
In recent years, he has expanded his activities to include composing Pop Music. He has composed for popular artists such as Aimer (Japan) and Jeremy Lau Ying Ting (Hong Kong).
