A famous Spanish actor, Julio Arenas, disappears while shooting a film. Although his body is never found, the police conclude that he’s been the victim of an accident by the sea. Many years later, the mystery surrounding his disappearance is brought back into the spotlight by a TV programme outlining his life, and death, and showing exclusive images of the last scenes he filmed, shot by his dear friend, the director Miguel Garay.

 | About the Director Víctor Erice is a Spanish film director, graduating in the speciality of Cinematographic Direction in 1963. For some time, he worked as a scriptwriter; later, as a producer of advertisements and, in 1969, he made his debut as a professional director, shooting one of the three episodes of The Challenges, which debuted to great acclaim at the San Sebastian Film Festival. He is best known for his two feature fiction films, The Spirit of the Beehive, which many regard as one of the greatest Spanish films ever made, and El Sur. | |
