Chao Koi Wang

Chao graduated from Taipei University of the Arts with a Master's Degree in Film Composition. He has won two short film awards at the FIRST Youth Film Festival. His recent film Goddess premiered at the Golden Horse Film Festival and was selected for the Golden Spike Award and Taoyuan Film Festival. Chuff Chuff Chuff was selected by Busan International Short Film Festival, Short Shorts Film Festival, and Indy Shorts International Film Festival.

Chuff Chuff Chuff (Macau and Taiwan,2024)

The young man woke up. He found his home transformed into a train car. He felt like he was still dreaming. But the woman said this was not his dream.

Goddess (Taiwan,2023)

Soft, an escaped undocumented worker, clutches a woman's ID card in his hand. This woman is the goddess of his best friend, Chai, who yearns to meet her. To fulfill Chai's desire, Soft embarks on a journey, heading toward the location indicated on the ID card.

To win back beautiful times gone by, Chang Yen makes a secret decision. When everything is ready, his relationship with his son takes an unexpected good turn, causing Chang Yen to regret his decision. As time goes by, he realizes the beautiful times can only exist in his imagination.

About us

The Cinematheque・Passion is located at Travessa da Paixão which is a narrow and romantic bystreet branching off the famous World Heritage Site "Ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral" (the "St. Paul's Cathedral Site") in the Historic Centre of Macau. A three-storey building equipped with ticket office, screening room, control room, film information room and exhibition space.
