![]() | During the Mid-Autumn Festival every year, the most popular lanterns are the handmade rabbit lanterns! There are basically four steps in the production process: first, the body of the lantern is tied with gimlets, then wrapped with greaseproof paper, then the rabbit's fur is glued with crumpled paper, and finally the rabbit's head and tail are decorated. Cleo, the owner of “Pio Kei Candle and Paper Shop”, will guide participants to experience part of the rabbit lantern making process, and they can even decorate the rabbit with movie elements. Participants can complete and take away their own rabbit lantern to celebrate the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival with them 🥮. | |

Instructor Introduction
Cleo, the heir to the "Pio Kei Candle and Paper Shop" in Lower Wan Street, started making traditional hand-bound rabbit lanterns when she was in secondary school, and still insists on making and releasing different sizes of rabbit lanterns every year during the Mid-Autumn Festival in order to pass on the only remaining craftsmanship.
