A county doctor with 30 years of experience in the field of medicine is on the verge of retirement when she unexpectedly changes her identity and becomes a breast cancer patient. As if by instinct, her 26-year-old daughter - a documentary filmmaker - picks up a camera and records her mother's treatment.
Can a doctor who is sick really be as rational about life and death as they teach their patients to be? In their journey, this mother and daughter, whose outlook on life and values have been deeply influenced by the hospital culture, are re-learning what it means to heal, what it means to empathize, what it means to be vulnerable, what it means to be strong, and what it means to be the most deeply loved and feared in the world?
