In the 19th century, Kayak, a salesman who used to be happy selling wine for money, gets drunk and falls into a drunken stupor. Kayak, a happy wine salesman, is drunk when a fire at a winery destroys his supply of wine. He is forced to become a hunter and trapper, catching beavers and rabbits for a living. Survival is not easy in the Great North Wilderness, and as he wanders through the forest, he eventually meets and falls in love with the daughter of a grumpy merchant, whom Kayak wants to marry, but there is a price to pay! He's about to face an organization of thousands of intelligent beavers in the mountains!
