12-year-old Bailey lives with her single dad Bug and brother Hunter in a squat in North Kent. Bug doesn’t have much time for his kids and Bailey, who is approaching puberty, seeks attention and adventure elsewhere.
British director Andrea Arnold turns her attention to marginalized communities in her home county of Kent. Roughly treated and neglected for too long, the daily lives of disabled families are fractured, but instead of being judgmental, the director's camera captures the richness of emotion in the midst of despair, with a touch of magic between the realism of the writing.
Director: Andrea Arnold
Cast: Nykiya Adams, Barry Keoghan, Franz Rogowski
