In conservative Malaysia, the mere existence of a baby hatch remains a whispered taboo, condemned by the rising tide of social conservatism that brands it as an enabler of moral decay. At a Kuala Lumpur foundling home, social worker Lai Sum confronts societal opposition to support women's autonomy. During Ramadan, Siew Man, facing abortion, seeks Lai Sum's help. Their intervention exposes them to theocratic and patriarchal threats.
