After 25 years as a paper specialist, You Man-su (Lee Byung Hun) feels he “has it all”: a wonderful life with his wife, Miri (Son Yejin), their children, and their home. This stability is shattered when his company abruptly fires him.

Confident he will find a new job quickly, Man-su begins a grueling search. However, over a year passes, filled with failed interviews and a low-paying retail job, pushing him to the brink of losing his house.

In desperation, he visits the prestigious Moon Paper to submit his resume, only to be publicly humiliated by manager Choi Sun-chul (Park Hee Soon). This final insult solidifies his resolve. Knowing he is the most qualified candidate, Man-su makes a radical decision: if there is no opening for him, he will have to create one to get hired.
