 | About the Director Bi Gan, born in Kaili, Guizhou, is a Chinese film director, screenwriter, poet, and photographer. His works embody a new magical realism style. His debut feature film, Kaili Blues (2015), won the Best New Director Award at the 52nd Golden Horse Awards, the FIPRESCI Critics' Award, and received a Special Mention for Best First Film at the 68th Locarno Film Festival. In May 2025, Bi Gan's film Resurrection won the Special Prize at the 78th Cannes Film Festival. | |
