![]() | About the Director Hsu Hsiao-ming graduated from the Film Production Department of Shih Hsin University, where he served as assistant director to directors such as Li Hsing, Chang Pei-cheng, Tam Ka-ming, and Hou Hsiao-Hsien, etc. In 1992, he completed his first feature film, which was selected as the closing film of the Director's Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival, and then directed Heartbreak Island, Homesick Eyes, etc. Since 1998, he has been the producer of Portrait of Hou Hsiao-Hsien, and as the producer of Beijing Bicycle, Betelnut Beauty, and Blue Gate Crossing, etc. | |
