Introverted 16-year-old Lucia joins her Catholic school's all-girls choir, where she befriends Ana-Maria, a popular and flirty third-year student. But when the choir travels to a countryside convent for a weekend of intensive rehearsals, Lucia’s interest in a dark-eyed restoration worker tests her friendship with Ana-Maria and the other girls. As she navigates unfamiliar surroundings and her budding sexuality, Lucia begins to question her beliefs and values, disrupting the harmony within the choir.

![]() | About the Director Urska Djukic was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 1986. Her 2021 animated short film Granny’s Sexual Life has won over 50 awards, including the Best Short Film award at the 2022 European Film Academy Awards and the Best Animated Short Film award at the 2023 César Awards. Djukić’s previous short films include The Right One, which formed part of the anthology film SEE Factory Sarajevo Mon Amour and premiered in the ‘Directors’ Fortnight’ section at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival. Little Trouble Girls is her debut feature film and has been selected as the opening film of the ‘Panorama’ competition section at the 2025 Berlin International Film Festival. | |
