树文的老伴突发心梗去世，一年过去了，树文始终无法从丧妻阴影中走出来。他试图通过展开新的黄昏恋来继续生活，然而他的想法却遭到了三位女儿不同程度的反对，冲突带来交流的契机，让树文突然意识到自己在家族中早已‘缺位’，他试着把焦点移到身边人，这才发现他似乎并不是无用之人。他重新披上大家长的外衣，试图回归到整个大家庭中。在此期间，因家族成员社会地位不同而造成的差异矛盾也逐渐显现，中间一代看似和谐，然而他们的遗憾和挣扎却完整地反射在年轻一代身上，身为家族‘旁观者’的树文敏锐的抓捕到了这一点，他用自己的方式来治愈家人，无形中重新建立了家的纽带，也疗愈了自己。

 | About the Director Bian Zhuo, Graduated from Academy of Art University in San Francisco with MFA degree, returned to China in 2017 and has since served as cinematographer. Most of them are independent productions. Since 2021, he has written and directed three short films. His work was selected for the 2021 Golden Rooster Youth Director Training Camp, his feature film was shortlisted for the 2024 Shanghai International Film Festival’s WIP and the 2024 Golden Rooster Film Festival’s WIP. Currently based in Yunnan, he is developing a road movie centered around the traditional dramas of Yunnan’s ethnic minorities. | |
