Film in Frame - Local Illustrator’s Film Poster Exhibition (6.7 — 9.7)

Film poster is not only a promotional tool for cinema, but also an important part of film art. Every version of a film poster is a unique creation that combines the efforts of the artists and their interpretations of the film.

The "Rewind Macao" series of exhibitions focus on the local film industry and introduce Macao filmmakers outside the director's chair. Two local illustrators, Yolanda Kog and Yang Sio Maan, invited to redraw the posters of two recent Macao films under the “Support Programme for the Production of Feature Films”, Sisterhood and Kissing the Ground You Walked On, to pay homage to local creativity from a new perspective.

Cinematheque・Passion hopes this exhibition will not only allow the audience to appreciate the subtle fusion of film and illustration, but also to re-live the unique charms and qualities of Macao that are hidden in every frame of the film through the artist's crafts, the exhibition's ingenuity, and the subtle touches on the posters.
