In 2008, Erlang, just released from prison, returned to his hometown - a small northwestern town with stray dogs everywhere. Erlang joined the dog-catching team to make a living. In a transportation accident, Erlang saved a stray black dog and kept it. In the process of getting along with the black dog, a deep affection was formed between the man and the dog, and a new life was started in mutual redemption.
The film was selected for the 2024 Cannes Film Festival for its global premiere and won the Grand Prize in the Un Certain Regard section and the Golden Palm Dog Jury Award.
