The 2nd Galaxy Entertainment Group Macau International Shorts Film Festival

To promote local filmmaking talent and provide a platform for international short film exchange and screenings, the 2nd Galaxy Entertainment Group Macau International Shorts Film Festival will take place from September 14 to 21, 2025. Co-organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and Galaxy Entertainment Group, this year’s festival features a diverse and exciting lineup, including an opening ceremony, film screenings, masterclasses, themed workshops, industry forums, and a closing awards ceremony.

The festival will showcase five curated screening sections: Macao Shorts, which highlights local productions; New Voices from Horizon, the international competition section; Director In Focus; East Asia Panorama; and Special Screenings, presenting a vibrant selection of creative short films from around the world. Beyond the screenings, the festival offers a series of extended activities such as masterclasses and workshops hosted by internationally renowned filmmakers and industry professionals, as well as dialogues with featured filmmakers and special guests, and industry forums.

The festival is dedicated to fostering the growth of the film industry, encouraging exchanges and collaborations between local and international filmmakers, and promoting Macao’s unique film culture. It provides an inspiring platform for global film enthusiasts and creators to connect, share ideas, and celebrate the art of short filmmaking. We warmly invite filmmakers, industry professionals, and movie lovers to join us in Macao to experience the creativity and charm of short films while witnessing the vibrant development of Macao’s film culture.

The screenings will be held at the Galaxy Cinemas at Galaxy Macau™ Integrated Resort and Cinematheque・Passion. Tickets will go on sale in two phases: on September 5 (Friday) and September 10 (Wednesday) starting at 10:00 AM via the “Enjoy Macao Ticketing Network” at ticketing.enjoymacao.mo.
